Was wondering if getting acrylic nails would curtail the urge to pick since using my own nails to do it adds to the sensation. ETA- ripping it off so there wasn't any nail left was actually the best thing I could of done. You should only allow someone to apply acrylic nails if they are licensed to do so. My fingertips are throbbing and I am so sore it hurts to touch anything, and I think it was just because they file the nail down.
